Sobha Realty Station opening hours and facilities

Sobha Realty station keeps the standard RTA opening hours, the same right across the network:

• Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM
• Friday: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM
• Saturday: 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM

Sobha Realty has the standard Dubai Metro facilities, confirmed in the official RTA passenger guide. The station is step-free, with lifts to all levels, tactile guidance paths, and dedicated wheelchair spaces on every train. Nol card machines and a ticket counter sit inside the concourse, alongside bilingual signage and information screens. Du Wi-Fi covers the network.

Every regular train carries three cabin types: Gold Class at one end, a Women and Children cabin with pink signage, and Standard cabins. Door pictograms on the platform show where each cabin stops. The station has at least one bus connection, dedicated Metro Police, CCTV throughout, and emergency call points on every platform and train.

Crossing to Dubai Marina and JBR

Sobha Realty sits on the JLT side of Sheikh Zayed Road, with Dubai Marina on the other side. To reach the Marina, take the covered footbridge from the station across the road to the Dubai Tram at T5 Dubai Marina. The footbridge is climate-controlled and step-free, and the Tram is a few minutes’ ride to the Marina towers, Marina Mall and on to JBR 1 and 2 for The Walk and the beach.

The walk plus Tram trip from the Red Line to the beach takes about ten minutes door to door. For the office towers in the DMCC free zone, stay on the train one stop to DMCC (R37), where the skybridge link to the Tram at JLT is shorter and the station exits put you on the right side of the cluster. The Tram fare is included in your overall zone tally on a single tap, so a Red Line plus Tram ride is paid once by total zones crossed, not as two fares.

Three names, one station

Sobha Realty has been renamed twice. It opened with the Red Line in 2009 as Dubai Marina. The RTA later sold the naming rights, and the station was rebranded DAMAC Properties for a period. The current sponsor is the property developer Sobha Realty, after which the station now takes its name.

Older signs, maps and route announcements may still use the previous names, so if you are following a printed map or a guidebook from a year or two ago, look up the station code (R36) rather than the name. The Red Line code does not change with the sponsor, so R36 is the safest reference if you are not sure which name a map uses.

Fares from Sobha Realty Station

Fares depend on how many zones your trip crosses, not how many stations you pass. A Silver Nol card costs AED 3 within one zone, AED 5 across two zones, and AED 7.50 for three or more zones, per the RTA Nol fares page. A personal Blue Nol card pays the same as Silver. Gold Class costs double: AED 6, 10 or 15 across the same bands.

Without a Nol card, the Red ticket is a separate, higher tariff of AED 4, 6 or 8.50 by zone band, and the blank ticket costs AED 2 to buy. Children aged five and under travel free, and travel is free for People of Determination.
