Dubai Metro fare calculator

By the number of fare zones your trip crosses, not the distance or the number of stops. A Silver Nol card costs AED 3 within one zone, AED 5 across two zones, and AED 7.50 for three or more. The calculator reads this directly from the RTA fare matrix and returns the exact figure for any pair you pick.

Because the fare jumps with each zone boundary you cross, not with distance. A six-stop trip that stays inside one zone is still AED 3 on a Silver card, while a two-stop trip across a zone boundary jumps to AED 5. The calculator shows you the zone count alongside the fare so you can see when this is happening.

All eleven tram stops sit in Zone 2, so any tram-only trip is a one-zone Silver fare. When you combine the Tram with the Metro, the Tram's Zone 2 counts towards your total zones for the trip and you are charged once on a single tap. The Tram's walking links to the Red Line at DMCC and Sobha Realty are NOT step-through interchanges, so you tap out and tap back in.

Season passes are flat-rate for unlimited travel inside the zones the pass covers, so the per-trip calculator does not apply once you have a pass. Use the calculator to work out whether a season pass beats pay-as-you-go on a Silver card for your usage. The Silver card also has a daily cap of AED 14, so once you hit that in a day, the rest of the day's rides cost nothing.

The Gold Class cabin at the front of the train carries a flat double-Silver fare, set by the RTA in its published fares page. The trade-off is more space, fewer people and a different cabin atmosphere. Buy a Gold Nol card if you want the option; you can still ride Standard on a Gold card at the Silver fare.
