Emirates Towers Metro Station Overview
Emirates Towers is a Red Line station in Zone 6, on the edge of the Trade Centre district. It is station R23, between World Trade Centre on the north side and Financial Centre on the south side.
The station is the official Metro access point for the Museum of the Future, with a covered air-conditioned footbridge that drops you at the museum's south gate without going outside. It also serves the Jumeirah Emirates Towers complex itself: the twin office and hotel towers, the Boulevard retail level, and the DIFC underground link to Gate Village.

Emirates Towers station keeps the standard RTA opening hours, the same right across the network:
- Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM
- Friday: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM
- Saturday: 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Emirates Towers has the standard Dubai Metro facilities, confirmed in the official RTA passenger guide. The station is step-free, with lifts to all levels, tactile guidance paths, and dedicated wheelchair spaces on every train. Nol card machines and a ticket counter sit inside the concourse, alongside bilingual signage and information screens. Du Wi-Fi covers the network.
Every regular train carries three cabin types: Gold Class at one end, a Women and Children cabin with pink signage, and Standard cabins. Door pictograms on the platform show where each cabin stops. The station has at least one bus connection, dedicated Metro Police, CCTV throughout, and emergency call points on every platform and train.
For the Museum of the Future, use the dedicated footbridge from the station, not the street-level exit. It is signposted from the concourse, fully covered and air-conditioned, and ends at the museum's south gate. The walk takes about seven minutes and avoids the Sheikh Zayed Road crossing entirely. A station built around its bridge
Emirates Towers Metro Station opened with the Red Line in September 2009, named after the twin towers next to it, and for its first thirteen years it was a quiet office-hour stop. That changed on 22 February 2022, when the Museum of the Future opened on the Sheikh Zayed Road frontage opposite the towers, inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. The covered footbridge between the station and the museum was built in time for the opening and is the only direct walking link from any Metro station to a Dubai museum.
The bridge is fully air-conditioned, signposted from the concourse, and lifts the visitor over Sheikh Zayed Road traffic. The museum lists it as the recommended Metro access on its plan-your-visit page. Time Out Dubai has called the museum one of the most-photographed buildings in the world, helped by the Arabic calligraphy that runs across its mirrored stainless-steel facade.
The twin towers that anchored the Sheikh Zayed Road skyline
Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the office and hotel pair next to the station, opened in April 2000, designed by architect Hazel Wong with NORR. The taller office tower is 354 metres and the hotel tower 309 metres, and for several years after opening they were the tallest twin towers in the Middle East. Sheikh Mohammed and the late Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum used the office tower for the Government of Dubai for the first decade, which is why the road in front carried the working name “Government Avenue” before being formally signposted as Sheikh Zayed Road. The Boulevard retail and dining level between the towers is open daily and links into the museum walkway.
The quiet route into DIFC
An indoor underground passage runs from the Emirates Towers podium across to DIFC’s Gate Village. The link is open weekdays during office hours and lets you reach the gallery cluster, the DIFC dining lanes and Gate Avenue without crossing Sheikh Zayed Road on foot. For weekend visits, when the link is closed, Financial Centre one stop south is the easier walking entry to DIFC. The Boulevard cafes at Emirates Towers open earlier than the museum itself, which makes for a comfortable pre-visit coffee before a timed museum slot.

Fares from Emirates Towers Station
Fares depend on how many zones your trip crosses, not how many stations you pass. A Silver Nol card costs AED 3 within one zone, AED 5 across two zones, and AED 7.50 for three or more zones, per the RTA Nol fares page. A personal Blue Nol card pays the same as Silver. Gold Class costs double: AED 6, 10 or 15 across the same bands.
Without a Nol card, the Red ticket is a separate, higher tariff of AED 4, 6 or 8.50 by zone band, and the blank ticket costs AED 2 to buy. Children aged five and under travel free, and travel is free for People of Determination.
